Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Premier Tech) increased her lead in the Mountains classification during the 6th stage of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, and finished 3rd from the breakaway.
“Of course, I wanted to win - but I think I did everything I could. I have the feeling I played it smart in the final. I decided to gamble on my sprint, especially because Kim [Le Court-Pienaar] had done quite some work to close gaps. I was hoping she was a bit too tired, but she still was the strongest in the sprint.”
“It was a very hectic stage. A lot of riders thought this would be a breakaway day but a big part of the peloton wanted to be up there. We decided to control the breakaway along with EF, and it worked out well. The split finally happened in a downhill section, and I’m happy I was there.”
“It will be super nice [to climb Mont Ventoux with the polka-dot jersey]. I think I’ll enjoy the atmosphere and let the others suffer.”
