Célia Gery (FDJ United-Suez) was awarded the Combativity prize in the 6th stage of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
“It was a beautiful day today. I gave everything I had to try to create opportunities and go for the win. Since I didn’t come away with the victory, there’s inevitably a bit of disappointment, but I know I gave it my all.”
“I was really lacking energy because I pushed so hard at the start of the stage. I thought a big breakaway might form so the general classification leaders could have an easy day. That didn’t happen. I tried to break away, especially on the descents; I put in a lot of effort to hang on during the climbs, and by the end I had nothing left in my legs.”
“It was really nice to be racing on home roads. There were lots of people supporting me from the roadside: family, friends, and people I didn’t know too… It helps to feel that kind of support.”
“Tomorrow is going to be another big day for the team. We’ll all be there for Demi [Vollering], and we’re going to try to go for that Yellow Jersey.”
