The stage in Côte d’Or, department number 21, is 21km long, which is perhaps an indication of a great vintage. Halfway through this time trial, the specialists will have to work hard on the 1.8km climb to the aptly named Marsannay-la-Côte, which averages 6.9%, and again over close to a kilometre to reach Corcelles-les-Monts, where the gradient’s 4%. Nine very rolling and mostly downhill kilometres will then carry the riders into Dijon, where the finish line will be located on Avenue du Général-de-Gaulle, adjacent to number... 21!
