The history
It is the first French women's team to emerge from a professional men's structure, Arkéa-Samsic. Launched in 2020, it is based on the foundations of US Vern, a club in Ille-et-Vilaine, which has produced four of the ten riders in the first squad. While retaining its Breton roots, this continental team is attracting talent from abroad, such as Austrian Valentina Cavallar, who finished seventh at Alpe d'Huez last year and eighth in the Vuelta a Burgos at the end of May, and Belgian Lotte Claes, winner of the Omloop Nieuwsblad in early March.

THE NUMBER
2. The best result for this team in a stage of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. It was achieved by Maeva Squiban last year at Le Grand-Bornand, who joined UAE Team ADQ this winter. The young Breton rider broke away from the yellow jersey group at the bottom of the Chinaillon climb to finish just behind Justine Ghekiere, the last survivor of a long breakaway.
