Clermont-Ferrand > Puy de Dôme

The longest stage to wrap things up! The Côte de Ternant (5.1km at 6.3%) will be the first significant climb in a series of ascents through the gorges on the River Sioule and around the dramatic Queuille meander. After climbing the tough Côte de Mouteyre on rough and narrow roads, the favourites may well find that they’re already isolated from their teammates. They will then have to battle it out on the legendary ascent of the Puy de Dôme (11.3km at 7.8%), which is the setting for the Tour’s final showdown.
