APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 CYCLE CITY LABEL ARE OPEN

For the last 15 years, Remiremont has been the home base of the big road-sweeping vehicle, proudly adorned in the colours of the department of Vosges, that’s responsible for the final clearing of the road between the publicity caravan and the Tour de France peloton. As well as being the birthplace of Julien Absalon (double Olympic mountain bike champion in 2004 and 2008), Steve Chainel (French cyclo-cross champion in 2018) and skier Clément Noël (Olympic slalom champion in 2022), it’s also home to the UC Remiremont cycling club whose membership has long featured a certain Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, a multiple road, cyclo-cross and mountain bike world champion between 2014 and 2023.
