The history

The Movistar men's team has roots dating back some 40 years. But the women's team is only in its fifth season of existence. It entered the World Tour circuit in 2020 and changed dimension the following year with the surprise recruitment of three-time world champion Annemiek van Vleuten. The Dutch rider finished 2021 as world number one, as in 2017 and 2018, and in the spring of 2022, she won her first Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

A leading specialist in stage races, the Olympic time trial champion recently won the third Giro of her career. With such a leader, Movistar is ready to win the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. But it is not all about Van Vleuten. The Spanish team can also count on Cuban rider Arlenis Sierra (7th in Liège-Bastogne-Liège and winner of the Vuelta a Andalucía) and Danish rider Emma Norsgaard (11th in Paris-Roubaix and winner of the Samyn des Dames).
