The history
The Euskadi Foundation is at the origin of the Euskaltel-Euskadi team, which enlivened the Tour in the 2000s with the exploits of its Basque climbers, the fervour of its supporters (the famous 'orange tide') and the stage victories of Iban Mayo and Roberto Laiseka.
Since 2020, it has also been supporting a women's team – alongside Laboral Kutxa, a credit cooperative – which competed in its first Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift last year. The team is led by Ana Santesteban (8th overall in 2023 with Jayco AlUla), Chilean champion Catalina Anais Soto (6th in the Vuelta CV Feminas) and 2024 Spanish champion Usoa Ostolaza, who has made notable progress this spring (12th in the Vuelta a España Femenina by Carrefour.es).

5. It was Usoa Ostolaza's place during the first mountain stage of the Vuelta a España Femenina by Carrefour.es. At the top of Lagunas de Neila (6.5 km at 9.1%), only the world's best riders were ahead of her (Vollering, Reusser, Van der Breggen and Rooijakkers).
