CANYON//SRAM

The team, sponsored by the German bicycle brand Canyon and the American bicycle component manufacturer SRAM, is one of the oldest in the peloton. In its two decades of existence, it has topped the UCI Ranking twice (2007 and 2008) and finished ten times in the top 3 (2007 through 2014, 2023 and 2024).

Created in 2002 from the T-Mobile men's team, it was originally managed by the United States Olympic Committee, which found in this structure the means to prepare its riders for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, where Deirdre Barry won silver in the time trial. The structure has since moved away from USOPC and alternated between American (2011, 2013 and 2014) and German (2005 through 2010, 2012 and since 2015) licences. Judith Arndt, Ina-Yoko Teutenberg, Lisa Brennauer and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot are some of the great champions who have graced its ranks.

The team has excelled since 2018, following in the footsteps of Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney. The Polish whiz almost became typecast as an eternal runner-up after bursting onto the scene at a very early age, but she shook off that reputation in 2024 by claiming La Flèche Wallonne Femmes and the top step of the podium in the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
