Leeds > Manchester

It’s going to be hard for a sprinter to pull on the first yellow jersey, but not impossible. They’ll need to hold their place in the bunch on the Côte de Meltham, slot into the right echelon if the wind is sweeping across the open terrain that follows, and get over the Côte de Delph without losing too much ground. They’ll then have around 20 kilometres to organise the pursuit and reel in any breakaway riders before contesting victory on Deansgate in the heart of the city.
