FOOD
Maison du Comté
The architecture of the Maison du Comté reinterprets, in a contemporary style, the traditional farm buildings of the Haut-Doubs and Haut-Jura regions. Its three buildings reflect the three links in this collaborative supply chain: milk producers, cheesemakers and affineurs, united at the heart of the Jura mountains for 700 years.
This temple to the region’s king of cheeses opened its doors in 2021 and already attracts over 40,000 visitors a year. Spanning 1,500 m², visitors can explore the world of Comté in a fun and engaging way. This immersive journey fully awakens the five senses: hearing, smell, sight, touch and, of course, taste during a tasting session at the end of the tour.
