L'histoire

Sponsored by German bicycle brand (Canyon), American bicycle parts manufacturer (SRAM) and cryptocurrency exchange (Zondacrypto), this team is one of the oldest in the peloton. In its two decades of existence, it has twice finished first in the UCI rankings (2007 and 2008) and eight times (consecutively) in the top three (2007 to 2014).

Formed in 2002 from the T-Mobile men's squad, the team was initially run by the US Olympic Committee, which saw it as a way to prepare its riders for the 2004 Athens Olympics, where Deirdre Barry won a silver medal in the time trial. The team has since moved away from the US committee and has alternated between American (2011, 2013-2014) and German (2005-2010, 2012, and since 2015) licenses. Judith Arndt, Ina-Yoko Teutenberg, Lisa Brennauer and Pauline Ferrand-Prévôt are among the great champions who have graced its ranks. The team has excelled since 2018, following in the footsteps of Kasia Niewiadoma, the reigning champion of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
