Lotto Intermarché Ladies

Philippe Gilbert, who earned his rainbow stripes during his time with Lotto, and Biniam Girmay, who soared to unprecedented heights in Intermarché colours, were tough acts to follow, but their female counterparts have also broken new ground. Lotto–Belisol Ladiesteam launched in 2006 and soon recruited the Athens 2004 gold medallist Sara Carrigan. The precocious Australian hung up her bicycle at the end of the 2008 season after netting the young team its maiden victory (a time trial in the Tour of New Zealand with the silver medallist in Athens, Judith Arndt, in second place).

The Belgian squad had its next trick lined up in the shape of the Australian Rochelle Gilmore and Grace Verbeke, the spearhead of Lotto Ladies, who earned a prestigious win in the 2010 Tour of Flanders. It also provided a gateway to the European peloton for African talents such as Ashleigh Moolman Pasio, who competed for the outfit from 2010 to 2013. The South African claimed three continental titles (2011 through 2013) and finished on the bottom step of the podium of the 2013 La Flèche Wallonne. Riding at her side, the Belgian Jolien D'hoore broke into the world elite and handed the team a symbolically charged victory, the 2014 Belgian national championship, in her second and final season with the squad.

Two years later, Lotte Kopecky put the wind back in the sails of Lotto–Soudal Ladies and Belgium as a whole. The 20-year-old prodigy was a force of nature both on the road and on the track. In 2016 she took the Trofee Maarten Wynants, finished fourth overall in the Lotto Belgium Tour (as the top-ranked Belgian and young rider) and teamed up with Jolien D'hoore to take gold in the Madison at the European track cycling championships. She followed up these performances with her first world championship title on the track in Hong Kong the following year. She stayed with Lotto until 2020, when she bagged her first Grand Tour stage win in the Giro and conquered her two Belgian national championship titles in the road race and the time trial.

The team was known as Lotto Dstny Ladies in its first participation in the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift in 2024. Thalita de Jong showed her mettle when the road bends towards the sky (tenth overall). Lotto and Intermarché merged in late 2025. Lotto–Intermarché Ladies registered for the ProTeam division and its fresh recruit Sandrine Tas stole the show: after taking part in speed skating events at the Winter Olympic Games in February, the Belgian nabbed two stages of the Bretagne Ladies Tour before notching up two podium finishes in the Belgian national championships (second in the time trial and third in the road race).
