APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 CYCLE CITY LABEL ARE OPEN

The “Pearl of the Jura”, birthplace of some of the biggest names in Nordic skiing, including combined specialist Sylvain Guillaume (silver medallist at the 1992 Olympics) and biathlete Quentin FillonMaillet (double Olympic champion in 2022), will be welcoming the sport’s best female racers for the first time. It has already graced the Tour de France with some memorable stages: in 1937, Belgium beat the French team of future race winner Roger Lapébie in a team time trial here; in 1964, it was the start town for a stage to Thonon-les-Bains won by Jan Janssen; and in 2020, Denmark’s Søren Kragh Andersen took a solo win here.
